The complex relationship between religion and innovation in contemporary societies - understood as social, political, legal and scientific-technological innovation - is the thread that runs through the calendar of 2017 events organized by the Center for Religious Studies (ISR) of Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) and presented today by ISR Director Marco Ventura.
In line with this mission, the ISR Center promotes over 20 events dedicated not only to the scientific community, but also to a wider, lay audience, in order to promote a fruitful exchange of views and ideas on issues often topical, and to become a meeting point that can favor the growth of the entire community.

Motorialab, a spin-off created in the laboratories of FBK, participated and won the prize for innovation at the Vertical Innovation Camp organized last week by Dolomiti Superski.

A flaw in Microsoft's online services discovered. FBK researcher received recognition for his contribution to Microsoft's online services security.
A 26 year-old from India, Avinash Sudhodanan has been working at FBK (research centre located in Trento, Italy) for three years on his doctorate in the "Security and Trust" group. In collaboration with Nicolas Dolgin (an intern from SAP, France), Avinash recently discovered a serious vulnerability in Microsoft's online services that allows an attacker to make the victim access (without their knowing so) an account controlled by the attacker.

The "FESTA - GARCIA" final cobference takes place in Brussels today and tomorrow. The event was jointly organized by FBK (FESTA project) and Université Catholique de Louvain (GARCIA project) which has 135 members including academics from all over Europe, and also from the US and several European Commission officials as well as businesses representatives.

Today, at the presence of Council Member. Sara Ferrari (PaT), FBK's Povo premises turned into a catwalk. The models were the students of Centro Moda Canossa. The garments worn, equipped with multi-purpose sensors, are the result of an experiment which sees research and school work side by side. The objectives: create new opportunities for young people and fight violence against women.

The “DOMOSENS - team play for a winning product", Combining school and work program 2016-2017 pilot project has been started
The kick-off meeting of the DOMOSENS project, which involves 6 Trentino schools was held on October 13, 2016. It aims to build a home environment quality control sensor capable of signaling the presence of higher-than-allowed levels of Methane (in the kitchen or in boiler room) and/or carbon monoxide (in the living room, where there are stoves, in the boiler room).
